Applications are being invited from artists and makers to take part in Perthshire Open Studios (POS) 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The organisers say it\u2019s important to sign up early as a maximum of 140 studios are able to take part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year\u2019s event will take place across beautiful Perthshire and Kinross-shire between 5-13 September and is expected to attract visitors from all across the region and far beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There will also be a showcase exhibition at the Bield, Blackruthen, which will include a number of artists in residence, plus a display of work at Pitlochry Festival Theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Glenys Andrews, POS President, said:<\/strong> \u201cPerthshire Open Studios is going from strength to strength. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cLast year the 140 studios taking part, and the 200 artists and makers showing their work, attracted around 15,500 visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThey come from all over Scotland and beyond to see a wonderful range of paintings, jewellery, photography, ceramics and much more, in a huge variety of locations and to explore one of the loveliest parts of Scotland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd the event is now so popular with artists that we really would advise people to apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The 2019 visitor survey showed high levels of satisfaction among visitors \u2013 and nearly two thirds had enjoyed a previous POS so much that they had decided to come again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Registration for POS 2020 is now open and closes on 19 April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n – Ends –<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Notes for editors<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
